Tuesday is Michigan Adoption Day.
That means many children across the state will get forever homes.
A special program will get underway Tuesday at 9 a.m. inside the Oakland County Courthouse. It will include finalization hearings for 13 children and nine families.
Adoption Day is held on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each year. The event highlights the importance of adoption and the needs of children in foster care.
While many courts will finalize adoptions today, others will hold informational events to reach potential adoptive parents.
