Police are looking for the public's help in finding a suspect in a disturbing middle-of-the-day crime.

A 64-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at gunpoint while waiting at a bus stop in the area of Grand River and Livernois on Friday, Oct. 12 at 2:40 p.m.

According to a release, a late model, four-door gray Nissan Sentra pulled up to the bus stop. The suspect, a black man between the age of 40 and 50, asked the woman if she needed a ride. When the woman entered his vehicle, the suspect allegedly told the victim he had a gun, then sexually assaulted her.

After riding around for hours, police say the suspect took money from the victim's purse and threw it out of the car window.

The suspected dropped the victim off in the area of Grand River and Oakman.
