Two CPL-holding neighbors hospitalized following shooting dispute in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — A 71-year-old woman is in critical condition after a non-fatal shooting in Detroit.

Right now, police say two women, ages 71 and 55, shot at each other in a possible neighbor dispute.

On Jan. 30 around 3:00 a.m. in the 15700 block of Stout, a verbal altercation ensued between two female neighbors. The 71-year-old suspect allegedly hit the 55-year-old female victim with an object, according to police.

The victim, a CPL holder, fired a shot striking the 71-year-old suspect. The suspect, also a CPL holder, fired a shot back, striking the 55-year-old victim, police say.

Medics took the victim to a local hospital, where she was listed temp-serious condition.

The suspect was also transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
