LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) — Attorney General Dana Nessel has directed her team to pursue an interview with former Michigan State interim President John Engler, a spokesperson said.
According to the Lansing State Journal, investigators have already reached out to university attorneys.
Nessel released in a statement that, "The culture of indifference the University has displayed throughout this investigation is a pervasive poison that appears to have seeped into every corner of that campus."
During his tenure as interim president, Engler faced criticism regarding his comments about the girls and women involved in the Larry Nassar abuse scandal.
