According to police, they responded to the home in the 2600 block of Wreford for shots fired.
When officers arrived, the incident turned into a barricaded gunman situation.
There were reportedly four people in the house when the gunman came in. Police say the suspect shot his ex-girlfriend three times, but she was somehow able to make it out of the house with an 11-year-old child.
She was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to be OK.
When the special response team made entry, they reportedly found the suspect and another woman dead. A 9-day-old child was found alive, but suffering from hypothermia.
We're told the ex-girlfriend had just filed a personal protection order against the man and was staying with her friend when he reportedly barged in.
Police say the suspect is 37 years old with a violent criminal past.
The kids who were inside the home at the time of the shooting were his, according to police.
