Major construction projects kick off this week in metro Detroit.
One of the biggest projects affects I-75. The freeway will close in both directions between Crooks Road and M-59 in Oakland County starting Friday, September 16 at 11 a.m. until Monday, September 19 at 5 a.m.
The closure will be in effect to allow crews to demolish the Squirrel Road overpass above I-75.
