The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a bear under a vehicle in Suttons Bay Township Tuesday morning.

Deputies arrived to the scene to see a small black bear underneath a black 2011 Ford pickup truck. The driver, a 58-year-old woman, had been driving southbound on South Center Highway -- south of Eckerle Road -- when the bear ran out into the road.

The driver was not injured, and the vehicle had no damage.
