The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that the E. coli outbreak that took romaine lettuce off store shelves is now over.

The outbreak sickened 62 people across 16 states; there were 26 cases of E. coli reported by the Michigan Health Department during the outbreak.
Nationwide, 25 people were hospitalized and no deaths were reported. The CDC reports that the outbreak was caused by romaine lettuce harvested from specific counties in the Central Coastal growing regions of northern and central California.
