Several people were injured after an accident involving a school bus on Detroit's east side Monday morning.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Lafayette near Chene, near Lafayette and Elmwood parts, just east of downtown Detroit.
Nine Marcus Garvey students were on board. According to a spokesperson with the Detroit Public Schools Community District, parents were notified and eight students were taken to Children's Hospital.
There were no life-threatening injuries.
