Clinton Township police say a stranger danger report filed on March 9 was false.
A 13-year-old girl originally told police she was on her way to school when a man grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her into his vehicle.
Police now say they have thoroughly investigated the incident and after a confession from the student, determined the story was made up.
We're told the teen gave a false reported because she had a problem with being "tardy to school."
Discipline will be handled by the school and her parents, according to police.
