CASCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A traffic stop in Casco Township Saturday led to the seizure of more than $10,000 worth of cocaine.

The traffic stop happened around 7:00 p.m. at the Marine City Highway and Palms Road by the Sheriff's Office Road Patrol. An investigation after the stop led deputies to search the vehicle and seize cocaine and pills.

Police say the 46-year-old Algonac man driving the vehicle was arrested and taken into an detention center.

Deputies contacted the St. Clair County Drug Task Force, and they executed a search warrant at the suspect's home on Kenyon Road. More cocaine was found and seized at the man's home, police say.

The suspect is expected to face charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of analogue pills, officials say.
