BENZIE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Benzie deputies announced Thursday arrests made in a local drug case.
On April 2, deputies arrested 35-year-old Nicole Shamblin on a warrant. While speaking with Shamblin, deputies noticed what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her home.
Dylan Reed, 20, also wanted on a probation violation, was inside the home and arrested.
Deputies contacted the Traverse Narcotics Team to further the investigation. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the home.
Detectives recovered crystal methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials and a handgun.
Shamblin was arrested on additional charges for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and operating a drug house. Reed was arrested on an additional charge of possession of meth.
The Traverse Narcotics Team is a multijurisdictional drug task force comprised of officers from Wexford County, Osceola County, Missaukee County, Antrim County, Grand Traverse County, Kalkaska County, Leelanau County, and Benzie County along with the Traverse City Police Department, and Michigan State Police.
