The Detroit City Council could hear a request for a lead evaluation report today.

The fear this morning: lead levels could be higher in certain areas of the city.

Council member Mary Sheffield is expected to submit a memorandum request for a report on elevated lead levels found in children in the city.

She’s calling on the report to be conducted after Bridge Magazine showed datathat revealed higher lead levels in kids found throughout 10 Detroit zip codes.

We’ll have a crew monitoring the latest inside council chambers this morning.
