It's a first-of-its kind event coming to Detroit this fall.
The Detroit Athletic Club announced that the Detroit Cycling Championship will take place in the city on Saturday, September 9.
The USA Cycling-sanctioned event will host both professional and amateur cyclists as they race through downtown Detroit.
Professional cyclists will compete for $45,000 in cash prizes.
There will be a number of other races including categories for kids and military members.
