DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Police Chief James Craig spoke on Monday afternoon regarding viral videos of vehicles doing donuts on highways and roads across the city.
The first video was posted Saturday night and showed several vehicles blocking traffic on The Lodge while Dodge Chargers did donuts on the highway.

Another video was posted Sunday night showing more vehicles doing donuts on 7 Mile and Mt. Elliot. You can see that video here. That video appears to be old, as 7 Action News Reporter Kim Craig compared the video with a photo she took on Monday showing leaves on trees in the same spot.

According to Craig, they arrested one of the people in the video on Saturday night, a 25-year-old man from Canton. They are also using forensic review to identify several other vehicles in the video.
Craig said they will not tolerate people taking over the city streets, and then will be using the helicopters to identify vehicles doing this. They will be seizing vehicles that are being used in instances like this.
The chief also said they will be looking at car clubs to see if they can identify the vehicles.
