Detroit police are investigating a baseball bat assault and carjacking that happened Tuesday.
Police say two men met two women at Fairlane Mall in Dearborn earlier in the day and agreed to meet later at the intersection of Cloverdale and Intervale in Detroit.
When the men arrived at the intersection, they were confronted by three other men.
The three men, we're told, assaulted the male victims with a baseball bat and took their blue 2000 Saturn.
We're told the 27-year-old victim refused treatment and the 29-year-old victim was transported to Sinai Grace Hospital for serious injuries.
Police have no descriptions of the suspects at this time.
