Detroit police investigating several overnight shootings

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police are investigating several shootings that happened across the city of Detroit overnight.

Here is preliminary information from the Detroit Police Department:

Non-Fatal Shooting in area of Linnhurst and Hayes

On Nov. 14 around 12:50 a.m. in the area of Linnhurst and Hayes, it is alleged the 35-year-old male victim was outside when he heard two unknown males arguing and shots were fired, police say.

The victim was struck in the body and taken to a local hospital by medics. He was listed in stable condition, according to police.

Fatal Shooting in 11300 block of Rutherford

On Nov. 14 around 12:50 a.m. in the 11300 block of Rutherford, it is alleged two unknown male suspects broke into the house and fired shots, fatally wounding the male victim.

Police say the circumstances surrounding this incident are actively being investigated.

Non-Fatal Shooting in 9900 block of Meyers

On Nov. 14 around 4:18 a.m. in the 9900 block of Meyers, it is alleged unknown suspects fired shots from outside the location striking the 48-year-old male victim who was inside.

Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital and listed in temp-serious condition.

Non-Fatal Shooting in 19800 block of Schoolcraft

On Nov. 14 around 4:30 a.m. in the 19800 block of Schoolcraft, it is alleged the 33-year-old female victim was involved in an altercation with a group of men and women.

The suspect then took out a weapon and fired shots, striking the victim in the body, police say.

According to DPD, the suspect and the other individuals fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by medics and listed in critical condition.
