Detroit police want to share a cup of coffee with you this morning.

They're hosting "Coffee with a Cop" at McDonalds on Mack Avenue and I-75 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Police want to open the dialog between the community and local law enforcement. They want to get to know the people they serve everyday -- and they want you to get to know the men and women in blue who are watching our streets.

The coffee is free. The restaurant owner is hosting this event for you.

Chief Craig will also be out meeting folks around town today for something he calls "Real Talk with the Chief"

He will be at "A-List Salon" getting a hair cut and taking questions and concerns from the community.

Chief Craig did this last week, and he says no question is off limits.
