Detroit police searching for suspect in double-shooting

Detroit police are searching for a man accused of shooting his wife and another woman.

Police tell us the double-shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. on the sidewalk outside Trolley's Bar in the 17300 block of Mack Ave. near Cadieux.

Investigators believe the shooting began with an argument inside the bar.

They say the shooter confronted his wife and the two ended up outside where the wife grabbed a gun from her car.

Police say the husband wrestled the gun away and shot his wife in the foot and another woman in the thigh.

Both woman are in the hospital, expected to live.

Police say the 31-year-old husband took off with the gun and they continue to search for him.

Investigators tell us the wife isn't cooperating, and they're asking for any witnesses to call them.
