DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Public Schools Foundation is holding its "Say Yes to the Prom Dress" event on March 13 and 14.
The foundation is partnering with nonprofit reWEARable to give away dresses and accessories to hundreds of young women so they have an opportunity to attend prom.
The first 200 girls at each event will receive a free dress, pair of shoes and accessories.
Light refreshments and a raffle will be open to all.
The giveaway will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Golightly Career and Technical Center in Detroit.
