If you're thinking about starting a tech company, consider Detroit for your home base.
The Motor City was selected as one of the "Best Places to Live for Tech Entrepreneurs" by TechInsurance, an online agent for IT businesses.
The company notes it looked at statistics to find the cities across the nation with the highest proportion of independent IT entrepreneurs, considering the population and other businesses.
TechInsurance points to the number of resources available for tech startups in Detroit to help IT growth.
Other cities that made the list include Atlanta, Austin and Las Vegas.
"Detroit is one of the best places in the country to begin your tech startup journey because you can iterate faster and fail cheaper," stated Mike Moceri, CEO of MakerOS, in the TechInsurance report.
Detroit was also selected in the "Best Places for People Who Love a Comeback Story" category.
