(WXYZ) — Dick's Sporting Goods is quadrupling the number of stores that will stop selling guns.
The retailer says 440 stores will close their hunting departments.
This is in addition to the 125 stores that got rid of firearms and ammunition last year, following the mass shooting that killed 17 people at Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
The company is hoping its efforts will help get guns off the street.
