A dog that was found with a rope tied around its neck on Tuesday is now recovering at a facility in Pontiac.
The Michigan Animal Rescue League says one of its volunteers spotted the pit mix dog and took it to a veterinarian after realizing it was in bad shape.
The volunteer reported that the dog was emaciated, barely able to stand and had a 15 foot rope tied around its neck.
The dog, named Winston, is now recovering at the MARL facility.
