The family of Daniel Williams is asking for those with information on the murder of their family member to please come forward. A $2,500 reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest. Williams was murdered 1:55 a.m. on Monday at the El Capri Lounge at the corner of Mt. Elliot and E. Grand Blvd. on Detroit’s Eastside.

“I carry him with me every day,” said brother Mario Williams. “And you cowards, because that’s what you are. You are straight cowards. To shoot him in the back of his head. A real man looks you in the eye when he kills you.”

This especially comes as a shock to Daniel’s brother Hassan Williams who has worked for years with crime stoppers, trying to make the community safer.

“For the rest of your life, you are going to be walking around here, until they catch you, looking over your shoulders, looking in the mirror in the car, peaking out the window in the house. Everywhere you go, you are going to be concerned at whether or not they realize you are the monster that committed this crime,” Williams said.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads the arrest for the murder of Daniel Williams.  If the tip that leads to an arrest is received by midnight of today’s press conference - $1,000 will be added to the reward - raising the total to $3,500. Please call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
