Relatives of Christy and James McKeogh announced they are offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for murdering the Clinton Township couple.
Officers were called to a home off Uthers Street around 1:30 p.m. last Friday. Inside, they found the bodies of Christy and James.
Police Chief Fred Posavets says Christy's brothers made the horrible discovery.
"They were trying to get ahold of her, she wasn't returning phone calls that morning. They became very worried, went to the house and discovered the bodies," said Posavets.
Autopsies show the husband and wife, in their 50s, died from blunt force trauma to the head. There is no obvious murder weapon, according to police.
Right now, the search is on for a suspect.
"There was no forced entry, so it's not like it was an invader, we believe that they we're let into the house," said Posavets.
The chief says there was also no sign of a struggle.
"We believe, possibly this is somebody that may have known the couple," said Posavets.
Friends of the couple we spoke with were still too shocked to talk on camera, but describe Christy as someone everyone loved and James as an avid outdoorsman.
