DETROIT (WXYZ) — Family members of Rebecca Sherrill, 40, have identified her as the victim of a deadly hit-and-run on Sunday.
Detroit police said a body was discovered near Van Dyke and Burh around 7 a.m.
"No one called first responders, paramedics found her," said Tina Sherrill, the victim's sister. "She had a sense of humor and a love for fashion."

The family said, while identifying her body in the morgue, items were being stolen out of her Rebecca's apartment near Mack and Alter Road.
"I know she didn't have just this," Sherrill's emotional sister explained.
The property owners Dennis Perkins told Action News her unit was infested with bugs and they cleared out some items and put them in storage.
"It’s unfortunate all this happened," Perkins said. "If things had been done a little better... you know in terms of them getting in there and getting things out, instead of waiting for several days to go by before doing something. You know this probably all could have been avoided."
Perkins told Action News Rebecca's family could view the items in storage.
Rebecca's family is in the process of making final arrangements. The family said Detroit police have identified a vehicle involved in the deadly hit-and-run. However, there have been no arrest in the case.
