Detroit Animal Care and Control are investigating after four dogs were found in an abandoned home Tuesday.

The house is on the 14000 block of Ohio next to Eaton.

According to Beth Kondrath, she was out Tuesday looking for a missing dog in the area when she heard barking coming from the boarded up house.

She called animal control and Facebook lived to see if anyone was able to identify the dogs.

"They were all in separate areas of the house so who knows what they were doing with them. They didn't belong there. No heat, not living with an owner,” Kondrath says.

Animal control says the dogs are in still in their care and they are investigating.
