Researchers found people preferred heartier foods and a touch of spiciness. For the winter season starting December 2018 to March 2019, these foods were the most popular orders:

- Bacon cheeseburger
- Chicken alfredo
- Chicken fajitas
- Spicy ramen
- Cheddar broccoli soup
- Cauliflower crust pizza
- Stuffed french toast
Grubhub's predicted food trends include:

- Yellow curry
- Chicken kabobs
- Poke bowl
- Kale salad
- Grilled salmon
