HAZEL PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 36-year-old Hazel Park man was arraigned Friday, Feb. 22 and charged with the production and distribution of child sexually abusive material.
Matthew Alain Dimitre, of Hazel Park, was arraigned in 43rd District Court on two counts of production of child sexually abusive material, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and seven counts of distribution of child sexually abusive material.
Dimitre was arrested following an investigation initiated earlier in February when police became aware he was allegedly producing and sharing child sexually abusive material online. According to a release, after further investigation a warrant was executed on his home, which led to his arrest.
Dimitre was is being held on a $5 million bond. The arrest was announced by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, along with Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Michigan Attorney General's Office.
