(WXYZ) — Officer Michael Kasdorf and his partner Lando have won a nationwide contest to receive an SUV.

The contest was made possible through “Vested Interest in K9s," a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing law enforcement dogs with vests.

"We are so grateful for the ENORMOUS support we received from our community, friends, family, and neighbors," a post on the Hazel Park Police Department page read. "There were so many of you that worked hard to make this wonderful win happen, and we cannot thank you enough."

Kasdorf and his K9 partner Lando of the Hazel Park Police Department won first place while second place went to Justin Reeves and his K9 partner Heiko of the Marysville Police Department
