Crews say the gas main has been fixed after a leak this morning. We're told the school is coming off of lockdown.
No word yet on when residents will be allowed back into their homes.

Homes have been evacuated and Grosse Pointe North High School is on lockdown due to the gas leak.
10:25 a.m.
MichCon reports that a construction crew severed a gas main in the area of Vernier and Morningside, in Grosse Pointe Woods at about 9:25 a.m. this morning.
There was no explosion or fire. They cannot advise on the size of the main yet, and continue to work to shut off and makes repairs.
Several roads could be seen blocked off in the area.

Homes are being evacuated in the area of Vernier and Wedgewood in Grosse Pointe Woods due to a natural gas leak.
