Just over four months after announcing a location in Royal Oak, Jolly Pumpkin will open its location on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

Jolly Pumpkin partnered with Bastone Brewery to open the Royal Oak location at the corner of Main and 5th streets. It was the home of Bastone and Vinotecca Wine Bar.

In May, those locations closed so it could transform into Jolly Pumpkin.

As part of the transformation, Bastone will move into the space currently occupied by Monk Beer Abbey. They will also refocus the menus on Belgian cuisine and beer.

Jolly Pumpkin will feature an open floor plan and seat 210 people, as well as an extra 40 people on a seasonal, outside patio. There will be a central, round bar in the restaurant as well.

The menu will include items from the brewery's other locations, including pizzas from Detroit, sandwiches from Traverse City and truffle fries from Ann Arbor, as well as new items exclusive to Royal Oak.

They planned to open in Royal Oak in 2013, but permit issues rendered them unable to close on a deal.
