WAYNE COUNTY (WXYZ) — As the Wayne County Board of Canvassers was going through the process of certifying the vote a mystery voice came in and Zoom Bombed the meeting and in a vulgar and threatening way.

“By law you must ___ my ____” the voice said and “I’m going to rape your mom.”

7 Action News obtained an audio recording of the Zoom. It was too much for TV and too much for a public meeting. Canvassers met in person but allowed the public to watch the process over Zoom and while people were screened, it still happened.

Jonathan Kinloch is vice chair of the Canvassers and said it was surprising and not the first time it happened. At an earlier meeting a mystery voice used the “N” word.

The Zoom Bombs today continued with “Shut the ____ up you ____ ____” and “I’m going to rape your mom. Yo! I’m going to strangle her and rape her. Hey okay brother. God bless America! Oh, and Trump 2020 ____”

Kinloch says laughing, “I’m not used to it. If I had the ability I would slap them to sleep but I don’t.”

A Wayne County deputy was at the meeting but it is not clear if this will turn into a criminal investigation. The lawsuit filed to stop this is under review by Wayne County Circuit Judge Timothy Kenny who says he will issue his ruling by noon on Friday.
