Pop-up shops in GM Ren Cen starting Tuesday

Posted
The GM Ren Cen is hosting it’s inaugural Holiday Headquarters with pop-up shops starting Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Nine local businesses with mostly Detroit products will be featuring their wares.

"With all the local Detroit shops and Christmas shopping, I thought it was a neat concept, this is my first year down here doing this,” said shopper Laura Eagan.

Like Eagan stated, it’s her first year shopping at the pop-up shops, because this is the first year the GM Ren Cen has offered them.

"This was Joseph A. Banks before, and people are saying I shopped for shirts here before, but it was open and we wanted to make sure we had a great shopping destination,” said Kate Hopper, the marketing manager for the GM Ren Cen.

The shops have local and handmade products from knitting, woodwork, cookies, candles, popcorn and more.

The shops will be only be open for four days, Tuesday through Friday from 10-6 p.m.
