A local dad and daughter are graduating from Walsh College this Father's Day weekend.
“Going to school with my dad wasn’t planned. It was a coincidence," says Nicole Andridge.
Nicole has been working to figure out what she wants to do since 2008. Meanwhile, her dad, Keith Thome, has been attending college on and off for 25 years. They tell 7 Action News they didn't plan on going to college together or graduating together; it just worked out.
"It's wonderful that it's Father's Day weekend so I'll be able to celebrate not just Father's Day but a big life event," says Nicole.
"When I started school back I thought this was going to be a great example for Nicole but she became an inspiration for me," says Keith.
"I accomplished something very big but to be able to do it with my dad has been very unique and special," adds Nicole.
