Macomb County residents offered free Naxolone training

FRASER, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Macomb County community-based organization is offering residents free training sessions on how to save people suffering from an opioid overdose.

Families Against Narcotics will train residents interested in learning how to properly administer Naloxone, a medication used to counter the effects of opioid overdose.

The sessions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on every third Tuesday of the month at Christ Churh Fraser in Fraser; every other first Tuesday of the month starting in May at the 42nd District Court Building in Romeo; and every other fourth Thursday of the month at Paradox Church in Warren.

Each attendee will receive a free dose of Naloxone to take home.
