AAA Michigan says prices at the pump are rising in Metro Detroit.
The current average in our area is $1.54 per gallon, which is about two cents higher than the week before, but still 73 cents lower than the same time last year.
The statewide average for gas is $1.55 per gallon, up two cents from last week.
AAA says gas prices will likely fluctuate slightly in the coming weeks due to speculation about future supply and demand for oil.
However, as long as there are no major disruptions in oil supply, experts predict gas prices to hold steady, AAA said.
