DAYTON, Ohio (WXYZ) — A stunt pilot flying from the Detroit area to Dayton, Ohio made an emergency landing on a highway.
The pilot, Skip Stewart, lost power to his engine just miles from the Dayton International Airport. He says if he waited any longer he would have completely lost the engine.
Investigators aren't sure what caused the engine to die.
Stewart is OK, however, his plane will not be able to perform this weekend at the Dayton Air Show.
