The Milan Police Department has called off the search after receiving a report of a missing child.
Police received a call from someone who stated they saw a child wandering near a creek, then saw the child go into the creek.
There was increased police activity near the area of 500 Allen Road for a couple of hours. Authorities searched the creek.
Investigators went door to door in the area to account for the children. No one in the area reported missing a child.
Police say the whole incident appears to be a false alarm.
