It’s a story we first brought you on Monday - a man’s lifeless body found in a vacant lot in Detroit.
Police are now releasing new clues that may help find the killer.
Investigators say 47-year-old Darnell Grant was shot to death before being dumped in a vacant lot on Detroit’s northeast side. Now, they need your help finding the person who did it.
Sgt. Nancy Foster from the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit says Grant’s body was found in a vacant lot in Detroit around noon Monday.
She says he was shot four-times and died from the gunshot wounds.
Detectives say they don’t have too much to go on right now. What they have learned so far is Darnell, whose nickname is Pumpkin, was at a party the night before and he was likely killed hours before his body was found.
If you have any information about Darnell’s killer, you’re urged to call Detroit Police’s Homicide Tip line at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800-SPEAK-UP.
Remember you can remain anonymous when calling both numbers.
