(WXYZ) — Michigan State Police have a reminder for drivers: even though traffic may be lighter due to the stay-at-home order, there's still no excuse for speeding.
The warning comes after a driver was clocked going 180 mph in a 70 mph zone.
"MSP wants people to know, just because there is less traffic on the roads & warmer weather, there are no excuses for speeding. #DriveSafe," read a tweet posted Tuesday.
MSP First District, which serves Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe and Washtenaw counties, posted the ticket given to the lead-foot driver.
