Metro Detroit can really use some rain and we'll finally get some to kick off the work week. A cold front will arrive Monday afternoon bringing a chance of showers and storms to areas dealing with moderate drought conditions.
The latest Drought Monitor:
More than likely - Monday's rain will not take us out of these dry conditions but anything will help at this point.
Some storms could be Strong to Severe
Widespread severe weather isn't anticipated but a few storms could get pretty strong. Our greatest severe threats are damaging winds and flash flooding with the strongest storms. Timing still appears to be the morning and afternoon with the action settling down towards the evening (close to the Tiger's Home Opener).
