ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WXYZ) — Smoothie King is bringing a new location to St. Clair Shores this month.
The new Harper Avenue store will open on March 11, and the grand opening event will take place on March 23.
At the grand opening event, the first 50 guests in line when the store opens at 8 a.m. will receive free smoothies for a year. One 20-ounce smoothie per week for 52 weeks, according to the company.

"We were attracted to the Smoothie King brand because its mission to inspire people to live healthy, active lifestyles is perfectly aligned with ours, and we fell in love with the brand and the people."
This will be the company's first of 50 planned locations in Michigan.
