A man heading home to Rochester, NY from a family visit in Florida landed in Rochester, Michigan instead last month.

Rochester deputies were called to assist the New York man named LeRoy who was "suffering from some minor medical conditions."

The deputies took LeRoy to a local hospital to get checked out and discovered he did not have a driver's license and had little money to make the trip back to Rochester, New York.

So "through a team effort," the Oakland County Sheriff's office purchased a Greyhound bus ticket for LeRoy and arranged to have a family member pick him when he arrived.

The department was happy to confirm LeRoy made it home to New York safely.
