WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — One person has been shot in a home invasion in West Bloomfield overnight.
The victim has been identified as rapper Mr. Macnificent, sources say.
Police told 7 Action News they received a call around 3:26 a.m. Friday from a resident of a home on Janet Drive, saying three people had broken into their home. According to the caller, the suspects entered the homeowner's bedroom, shot the male resident multiple times then ran off.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
A woman called 911 for help at 3:30 a.m. Friday saying her husband was shot by three men. Sources say the victim shot back at the men.
Police say after the shooting, the men got into a car and took off.
Authorities say they have received a very vague description of the three male assailants. The deputy chief says investigators don’t believe the attack on the home was random.
