Parents of Anthony Rumford to face judge today

The parents of 2-year-old Anthony Rumford could learn if Child Protective Services will remove his siblings from their Inkster home following his death.

The decision could be made as early as today when both parents go before a judge.

The 7 Action News team has learned in March of 2014, before Anthony was born, CPS removed his oldest siblings because their mom lacked suitable housing and she was unable to properly care for them because she admitted to welfare fraud.

Police say the child died after he was found face-down in a Jacuzzi bathtub upstairs in three to four inches of scalding water earlier this week.

We could also find out today what if any charges will be filed against the mother.

Anthony's manner and cause of death are still under investigation.
