EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Eastpointe police are searching for a woman believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run overnight.
The call came in about 11 p.m. Thursday about serious injuries at 10 Mile and Dale, police say. The 45-year-old victim, identified as Ervin Smith of Warren, was found laying in the street with his motorcycle also on the ground.
He was taken to St. John Hospital, where he passed away due to his injuries, police confirm.
The suspect vehicle is a black GMC Envoy with possible front-end damage. Right now the person of interest is a woman in her 20's or 30's, about 5-feet 9-inches tall, wearing a white shirt and has braids.
