DTE Energy reports about 4,000 customers are currently without power in metro Detroit.

The outages are due to the heavy winds that hit the area Sunday night into Monday morning.

DTE says the outages are scattered with the hardest hit areas in Oakland, Wayne and St. Clair counties.

A majority of the customers affected should have their power restored today, according to DTE.
