The family of LaDiamond Myers was furious inside the courtroom. Wilborn was accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend in June, her body found in a vacant home on Braille Street on the city's west side.

"He killed my niece. He killed her your honor!" shouted a family member of the victim as she was escorted from the courtroom.

When asked if he was innocent, Wilborn responded, "I've been innocent. That's what I've been trying to tell people the whole time."

The 24-year-old was found beaten and stabbed, her four young kids under the age of 5 were found by a neighbor alone in another room.

No blood was ever found on the 29-year-old Wilborn's clothing. He is the father of two of the kids.

Ultimately, the murder charge was dropped for now.

When asked about what he wanted to say to the family of Myers, he told us, "I need time grieve."

Wilborn avoided answering any questions about what happened that day. "Everyone gets accused," Wilborn said. "Even Jesus got accused. That's the testimony of my life."

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office says it will either appeal or re-file charges again with more evidence, so this case is far from over.

The family of Myers declined to comment.
