The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a job fair as it looks to hire 40 to 60 Transportation Equipment Operators (Bus Drivers).
The job fair will be held Monday, April 4 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the Butzel Family Recreation Center. It's located at 7737 Kercheva in Detroit. DDOT staff will be on hand to assist with the application process.
The starting wage for bus drivers will be $12.07-$17.23 an hour, offering flexible hours with predictable schedules for part-time and full-time positions.
To be eligible for one of the bus driver positions, applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Completion of high school or G.E.D.
- Must have a valid Driver's license and must be able to obtain a Michigan Commercial Driver's License with Group A or B designation and Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
- Preferably two years of experience operating automotive vehicles, as demonstrated by a State Driving Record.
